Remember good people – it’s almost Opening Weekend for your Phoenix Club of East Nashville!
We’ll be out and about on Saturday the 11th with a booth at the East Nashville Beer Fest, so be sure to stop by and say hello if you’re there. We’ll be gladhanding, giving out our limited stack of schedule cards (my, but that’s a good-looking card!), answering any questions you might have about the league or the team, and hopefully just getting to spend some quality time with our neighbors.
And on Sunday the 12th, it’s the big day – our opening game versus the Oak Hill Travelers at Historic Carnton Plantation in Franklin!
Huzzah!

Hello friends! We don’t have a finalized schedule for the season yet, but we can verify that opening weekend is April 11-12. It looks like we’ll be down at Carnton Plantation on Sunday, so needless to say you should all come out and join us there. And before that, we’ll be setting up shop at the East Nashville Beer Festival, and you should also come by and join us there. We’ll be handing out schedules and literature, talking about the league and the team, meeting more neighbors, and doing whatever we can to get more cranks out to the games. Join us there, join us Sunday the 12th, and keep on joining us all summer long!

Well… sort of. This weekend the boys in red and grey braved the snow and mud and took to the fields of Edwin Warner Park. We welcomed new member Jason “Big Dipper” Franke to the fold, and had some productive BP and fielding drills. The best part? No injuries! HUZZAH!

The Chattanooga Pulse ran a nice story about this weekend’s training camp and meet-and-greet in Fort Oglethorpe. Chattanooga will have two teams in the league starting this year. But they needed a good-looking ballist for the front page to draw in readership. Enter Matthew “Dickins” Bavaro-Phelan.
